How to Write AI Photo Prompts in RealYou

Published by RealYou · 3 min read

Quick guide

You do not need a long list of camera terms to describe a good photo. Start with one clear scene, then add the few details that matter most to you.

Give the photo a setting

Begin with where you are and what is happening. A quiet café, a city street, or a simple studio backdrop gives the image a clear direction.

Try: ‘A candid photo of me sitting at a sidewalk café, wearing a cream sweater.’ This is more specific than ‘make a nice photo,’ while leaving room for a natural composition.

Choose the light and the feeling

Light changes the mood. Soft window light, warm evening sun, or direct flash each suggests a different kind of picture. Pick one rather than stacking conflicting instructions.

Try: ‘A relaxed portrait of me by the coast, soft evening sunlight, a white linen shirt, natural expression.’

Ask for a photographic style

Tell RealYou whether you want a casual phone photo, a polished headshot, or a cinematic portrait. Keep the style consistent with your setting.

For a simple everyday image, try: ‘An unposed iPhone-style photo of me walking through the city, overcast daylight, casual clothes, everyday atmosphere.’ Camera language is a creative instruction, not a promise of a particular device or lens.

Change one detail at a time

If an image is close to your idea, adjust one part of the prompt: the background, expression, outfit, or framing. Rewriting every detail makes it harder to understand what helped.

AI can interpret a prompt differently each time. Check faces, hands, clothing, and background details before using a result. Generations may require purchases or credits; check the current terms in the app.
